About Me

My photo
Well, when I was a little girl I would spend hours flipping through the pages of a huge catalogue called "Quelle" that my father had brought from Germany. It had glossy pages full of beautiful pictures of lovely rooms, furniture and furnishing and was written in a language I could not decipher. But I think the pictures left an ever lasting impression on my mind and I grew up to be 'me' who drools not over food (or that too!) but good interior design, colors and photography. I also passionately love coffee, films, books, music, white gladioli, solitude, risotto, donuts, and my life (not exactly always in that order). I live in Bombay, India with my husband and little daughter and they both have changed my life in many beautiful ways.

FREEDOM TREE

Do you like my new Freedom Tree Poochapalam Rug & Kuppizan Printed Cushion Covers? I love them. The rug is a patchwork design of Ikat, Kantha and digitized modern jaali work, whereas the cushion cover has the butti motif in graphic design. I had ordered them online through Jaypore a few days back and today they arrived by courier in the evening in a neat packaging and I just couldn't wait to share the pictures with you. The first time I spotted Freedom Tree's ceramic tableware range was at Home Stop, Shoppers Stop (Inorbit Mall) and was instantly  bowled over by the striking color palette  & quirky designs. As an avid fan of Ikat designs, I started collecting their Ikat ceramic coffee mugs, butter dish & dinner plates. Now they sit proudly in my kitchen cabinets and make my morning coffee drinking ritual even more exciting and joyous.

If you don't know about Freedom Tree yet, then here's a brief note about the brand that, in my opinion, has brought quite a revolution in the Indian homeware category with their bold sense of colors and quirkiness. And once again, it is a brand owned by a talented woman Latika Khosla (I always end up blogging about women entrepreneurs). A National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad alumni Latika is the founder-director of this Indian lifestyle brand apart from being on the board of the Color Marketing Group USA.  Freedom Tree has its store in Lower Parel, Mumbai, India and their products are available in selected stores in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Trivandrum.

You can check out their entire range of products here & Facebook Page here.
