All this time whenever I browsed my favourite blogs (onceuponateatime.blogspot.in, anindiansummer-design.blogspot.in, maisonboheme.blogspot.in, apartmenttherapy.com, 79ideas.org), I always dreamed of having my own blog. Today when I finally got the courage to start myikatlove I realized that blogging is a serious affair and while drooling over lovely pictures and interesting posts of the bloggers I never imagined how much commitment (especially in terms of time) it demands. Well ‘time’ is something that you do not have in plenty when you have a 13 months old trailing behind you from bedroom to the kitchen to the study to the bathroom and anywhere and everywhere. So nighttime is the only ‘time’ I am going to have for writing, research, posting pictures and not to mention to devour the posts of all the blogs I follow. But there is a catch. Currently I share a desk with my ‘not so organized’ filmmaker husband who prefers to write (and play computer games) at night. So it is time for me to set up my own desk. I want to have a tidy and organized desk which I can decorate with little girly stuff (not really possible when you are sharing it with a man). And sharing your desk with your man is not so easy and a ‘clean’ idea anyways. So the situation called for an immediate blog browsing for inspiration to set up a writing nook that can have pink and purple and indigo and plants and flowers and many more. What I found is posted below and I am still drooling J
Aren't they fabulous? What do YOU think!!.

Welcome to the world of blogging! I am always amazed at how much time it takes me to find what I want to bog about and then put together a post. But I love it and i am sure you will too. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Priya. Your blog has been a big inspiration to me and I am so thrilled to know that you visited mine. And yours is the first comment myikatlove received. You absolutely made my day:))
DeleteI love your blog. So many shared sentiments, expressed simply and beautifully. We share a desk too. There isn't space for another workstation in the house. But we had a spare low table which is dear so I didn't want to give it away, but it was mostly just coming in the way. So this Sunday I converted it into a sort of reading bench and placed it by the window. Another new nook to recede to when the desk is occupied by the boy. Will send you a picture. :)
