About Me

My photo
Well, when I was a little girl I would spend hours flipping through the pages of a huge catalogue called "Quelle" that my father had brought from Germany. It had glossy pages full of beautiful pictures of lovely rooms, furniture and furnishing and was written in a language I could not decipher. But I think the pictures left an ever lasting impression on my mind and I grew up to be 'me' who drools not over food (or that too!) but good interior design, colors and photography. I also passionately love coffee, films, books, music, white gladioli, solitude, risotto, donuts, and my life (not exactly always in that order). I live in Bombay, India with my husband and little daughter and they both have changed my life in many beautiful ways.

OH-SO-BOHO

Yesterday, I came across a house tour on Apartment Therapy which reflected one of my favorite styles in decor, Bohemian! This California house of designer and vintage collector Vanessa Dingwell, has an eclectic mix of vintage textiles, colorful fabrics, tapestries and a definite feminine touch in every corner of her house situated on a hilltop. I personally don't like to stick to one particular style in home decor, because my preferences for various styles change with my mood, season and the phase of life, I am going through at that point in time. So, when I saw Vanessa's gypsy bedroom (pics 1&3) and the stockroom (pic 5) of her clothing brand Honeywood Vintage, I thought that my room would look somewhat like this, if I were single at this point in my life. As I am growing older, I am increasingly growing fond of all things vintage and especially ethnic hand-embroidered textiles. And that reminds me to tell you that I have planned to share a few more posts on bohemian decor in the coming weeks. And that's because I can never get enough of boho decor & boho-chic. So stay tuned for more interesting pictures of bohemian houses of free spirited artists from around the world.

All images are taken from Apartment Therapy. A big thanks to the big daddy of decor blogs :))
