About Me

My photo
Well, when I was a little girl I would spend hours flipping through the pages of a huge catalogue called "Quelle" that my father had brought from Germany. It had glossy pages full of beautiful pictures of lovely rooms, furniture and furnishing and was written in a language I could not decipher. But I think the pictures left an ever lasting impression on my mind and I grew up to be 'me' who drools not over food (or that too!) but good interior design, colors and photography. I also passionately love coffee, films, books, music, white gladioli, solitude, risotto, donuts, and my life (not exactly always in that order). I live in Bombay, India with my husband and little daughter and they both have changed my life in many beautiful ways.

CAMERA BUFF

"A good photograph is knowing where to stand".. Ansel Adams

While I am still learning 'where to stand', I am unable to resist the temptation of looking through my new Canon EOS 1100D, my first DSLR or rather my first camera, to be honest. I had never laid my hands on a DSLR before but now that I own one, I cannot take my hands off it. All through the chaos of packing, moving and setting up the new house, I kept experimenting with my new toy. I am a total novice as far as the technique of photography is concerned but I am eager to learn through trial and error. So here are some of the pictures that I have taken in our 'still-to-be-set up' new apartment.

My polka dotted cup n saucer...oh-so-prett-ehh

  1. Congratulations!

She is within the minimum focusing distance of your lens, so is not focused.

I would like to see a vertical composition of the birdie silhouette.

You can play around the placements of the cup and saucer in the first image. That is way more interesting than the second. Keep it up. You will do good.
