About Me

My photo
Well, when I was a little girl I would spend hours flipping through the pages of a huge catalogue called "Quelle" that my father had brought from Germany. It had glossy pages full of beautiful pictures of lovely rooms, furniture and furnishing and was written in a language I could not decipher. But I think the pictures left an ever lasting impression on my mind and I grew up to be 'me' who drools not over food (or that too!) but good interior design, colors and photography. I also passionately love coffee, films, books, music, white gladioli, solitude, risotto, donuts, and my life (not exactly always in that order). I live in Bombay, India with my husband and little daughter and they both have changed my life in many beautiful ways.

THE URBAN YOGI

OMG! Moroccan-inspired beautiful sherbet glasses on a silver platter, colored glass pitcher and butterflies. This is just what I needed to lift up my spirit after it has been dampened heavily by a nagging cold & flu.  I have a big smile on my face right now. I can happily keep looking at this picture and forget all about my illness that was so annoyingly keeping me from blogging. Despite my splitting headache when I looked at the collection at The Urban Yogi , a web-based brand of eclectic home decor and furnishing recently launched by the beautiful and elegant Nisha Varman Shetty, I couldn't wait a moment longer to share the exquisite collection of this Dubai based brand that puts a great emphasis on sustainability as well. The newbie in the home decor arena has already managed to collaborate with the iconic Good Earth, India and French Bull. Nisha obviously earned a few brownie points from me when I learned that she too is a new mother :) Kudos to her for being able to start her new venture with a five month old baby at home.

The Young Yogi range of cushions are just perfect for kiddie rooms
I am absolutely going to buy it for my little one's nursery
Ah-ha
The Baradari range of dinnerware
I love this cake stand
You can browse through all the pictures of stunning chinas and bold colored furnishings on their Facebook page TheUrbanYogiDubai.
I will be waiting for their soon to be launched online catalogue with bated breath.
