About Me

My photo
Well, when I was a little girl I would spend hours flipping through the pages of a huge catalogue called "Quelle" that my father had brought from Germany. It had glossy pages full of beautiful pictures of lovely rooms, furniture and furnishing and was written in a language I could not decipher. But I think the pictures left an ever lasting impression on my mind and I grew up to be 'me' who drools not over food (or that too!) but good interior design, colors and photography. I also passionately love coffee, films, books, music, white gladioli, solitude, risotto, donuts, and my life (not exactly always in that order). I live in Bombay, India with my husband and little daughter and they both have changed my life in many beautiful ways.

GOA AUGUST '12

It's been a week away from home and also from blogging. It wasn't supposed to be like this. I had all the plans of writing, posting photos and staying connected. I had planned to do a thorough travelogue of romantic monsoon in Goa. I had ideas buzzing in my head and fingers itching to type out my thoughts, yet I could not do a single post in the last few days.

And then a realization dawned on me. My life has changed. I am no longer  the same person who travelled all alone to Goa with just a small bag and a camera and without hotel reservations. In that trip in 2007, I had travelled from South Goa to North Goa exploring the beaches, streets, shops and eateries. After that I made couple of more trips to Goa with my husband. We would hire a bike and set off to unknown places, flea markets and explore the winding roads of Goa. Now in 2012 we arrive here with two big suitcases, one large family and a baby in my lap. Between deciding the next meal for my daughter and trying to make her sleep in the hotel room I barely managed any time to set foot outside this luxury resort and on the narrow lanes of 'real' Goa and the white sands of Varca beach.

Today my 'blog withdrawal syndrome' had reached its peak so I decided to resurface and post about whatever little exploration has been possible so far, all thanks to my ever encouraging and understanding husband.

So here are some pics of the serene Varca beach, interesting decor in a restaurant and some random clicks.
