About Me

My photo
Well, when I was a little girl I would spend hours flipping through the pages of a huge catalogue called "Quelle" that my father had brought from Germany. It had glossy pages full of beautiful pictures of lovely rooms, furniture and furnishing and was written in a language I could not decipher. But I think the pictures left an ever lasting impression on my mind and I grew up to be 'me' who drools not over food (or that too!) but good interior design, colors and photography. I also passionately love coffee, films, books, music, white gladioli, solitude, risotto, donuts, and my life (not exactly always in that order). I live in Bombay, India with my husband and little daughter and they both have changed my life in many beautiful ways.

TRAPPED CORDS!!

Are you a gadget lover? Well, who is not? At least that is what it seems when I look at all the people around me including my nine year old nephew. I am not a gadget freak as such (loving my Macbook, ipod, mobile doesn't count right!) In fact, I am a bit tech challenged for that matter but my dear husband is a big time lover of gadgets and gizmos. His innumerable gadgets and corresponding cables along with his computer and mobile phone chargers, various data cables and cords drive me nuts when I attempt to organize his study room.

So my life was trapped in cords until I read a post IHeart Organizing: Quick Tip: Keeper of the Cords on one of the blogs I follow for inspiration's sake. And I learned how toilet tissue rolls can help you organize the cord  chaos in our lives :) :)

I was in a DIY mood today (a rare thing) and was itching to make something before the day ended and luckily enough that coincided with our toilet paper getting over. So I took out my craft box and decided to trap the cords.

I re-read the savior blogpost but also decided to add my bit. I decided to use cloth instead of paper (as shown in the blogpost) to wrap the toilet roll and I needed a small piece of leftover cloth from my some other DIY madness.

So here is the 'Before' picture of my Macbook charger, toilet roll, piece of cloth and fabric glue.

It took me less than ten minutes to give the roll a make over. Now my charger fits neatly into the roll. Here is the 'After' picture of the trapped cord.

I will needs tons of toilet paper rolls to trap the countless cords that need to be organized in our house but I am happy for now having trapped the cord of my computer charger.

STAY HAPPY..TRAP THE CORDS.
